Watch bibliography

On October 13, 2010, in Tools, by admin

We have just set up  a  RSS feed to keep you informed of the latest articles listed in PubMed on  *omics data integration, integrative biology and systems biology. The information displayed in the sidebar match the following query in Pubmed:

(integrative *omics OR systems biology OR integrative biology) AND (bioinformatics OR computational biology)

Know that you can set yourself alerts by e-mail for the latest publications on your favorite topics :)   To this aim build your request in PubMed, then click on the “save search” link (top of page near the drop-down menu listing the databases NCBI). This will take you to the  MyNCBI page so you can create your account (if not already done). You can then manage your queries and the frequency of email alerts.

Finally, do not forget the special issues of Nucleic Acids Research on Web Server and Database.

Webinar Description

Starting with Genomics, the so-called “Omics Revolution” has resulted in the creation (or renaming) of a broad range of research areas, including proteomics, metabolomics, interferomics, and glycomics. Discoveries and advancements in these diverse arenas have often remained confined within each respective field, a situation that benefits neither the researchers nor the broader public. The integration of multiple -omics is not only desirable, but could be argued to be necessary for the progress of discovery. This webinar aims to feed the process of integration by allowing three experts to present their experience with the marrying of various -omics, providing an engaging discussion of the challenges, successes, and best practices.

During the webinar, panelists will:
• Describe how a variety of different -omics fields might work in concert to advance research goals
• Give practical examples of their experience with the integration of different -omic disciplines
• Provide insight into the future of the Omics Revolution
• Answer viewers’ questions live!
